Prema Baughman is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Shepherd University and will graduate in 2024. Her work has been exhibited in local galleries such as the Phaze 2 Gallery at Shepherd University in Shepherdstown, WV for its annual student honors exhibition. Her work has also been featured at The Artists Gallery in 2021 and 2023 and at the Modern Visual Arts Gallery in 2021. She has been in Sans Merci, art and literary publication at Shepherd University, for its 46th edition. Prema won the Joanna Blundell Award, an award for outstanding academics, in 2021. 

Prema is a contemporary painter whose work focuses on traditional subject matter, such as portraiture or animals, and uses images of found objects to distort them. She emphasizes the use of color, paired with a realistic style. She enjoys creating dynamic compositions that are both confusing but aesthetically pleasing. Although her main medium is oil paint, she also focuses on the editing process of her reference photos to enhance effects or colors.
